Delve into everyday language and hone all four core language skills—reading comprehension, writing, listening comprehension, and speaking—as you move from the A1 proficiency level as described in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL, Council of Europe 2001) to a greater level of confidence. By the end of this course, you will be able to introduce yourself, ask basic questions, and engage in short conversations with ease.

What You’ll Learn

The HispanoHacker course seeks to empower individuals with the skills necessary to communicate effectively in the Spanish language. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

1. Read and comprehend simple Spanish texts, including short dialogues and conversations.
2. Write simple sentences and phrases accurately in the present tense (e.g., ser and estar).
3. Listen and understand basic Spanish spoken at a slow pace.
4. Use key vocabulary terms related to everyday topics, such as family, food, jobs/careers, home-life, etc., in conversation with native speakers of Spanish.
5. Produce accurate pronunciation of words and phrases in Spanish with regard to intonation patterns and stress placement within words or syllables.
6. Describe daily routines using appropriate language for time expressions (e.g., daily activities), locations (e.g., places of work) and weather conditions (e.g., seasons or temperature).
